4 Bedroom Apartment Floor Plans

4 bedroom apartment floor plans put the whole family on one level, with no bedroom upstairs. This layout keeps the 3-bedroom flat's outline: one more bedroom takes the dining room's place, and the dining table moves into the kitchen. Open it in the editor as your own copy and resize every wall to the flat you are planning.

Every room size in the 4 Bedroom plan

One level, four bedrooms

The four bedrooms and the bathroom line one side of the hallway; the living room, 6.8 × 4.5 m (22′ 4″ × 14′ 9″), kitchen and Bedroom 2 share the other, each with a window on the outside wall. Where the 3-bedroom plan holds the dining room, this one has a bedroom of 3.6 × 4.5 m (11′ 10″ × 14′ 9″) instead, and the dining table sits in the kitchen. Bedroom 3 and Bedroom 4 are 3.6 × 4.0 m (11′ 10″ × 13′ 1″) each, the same size as in the 3-bedroom plan.

The front door is at the living-room end of the hallway, so visitors reach the living room first while the bedrooms sit further in. Bedroom 2 stands apart from the other three, next to the kitchen, which suits a home office, a guest or an older child better than a nursery.

Fitting the 4-bedroom flat to your family

  1. Eating space

The dining table stands in the 3.4 × 4.5 m (11′ 2″ × 14′ 9″) kitchen with two chairs. Check it suits the number you cook for; a larger table moves to the living room if the walkways stay clear.

  2. Second bathroom

Four bedrooms share one bathroom near the front door. Take part of the main bedroom with a new wall for an en-suite, then place the fittings from the library.

  3. Storage

Add wardrobes along the hallway wall and keep enough width left to walk past anyone.

  4. Use a bedroom as a study

Each of Bedroom 2, 3 and 4 already carries a desk and a chair; delete the bed where you want a workspace.

Things to consider

  1. Hallway share

All four bedrooms open off the 13.8 m (45′ 3″) hallway, which takes 16.6 m² (178 sq ft). That buys privacy for every room, at the cost of the floor the dining room would have used.

  2. The bedroom apart

Bedroom 2 shares a wall with the kitchen. Wardrobes on that wall buffer the noise if the room will be occupied at night.

  3. Noise between rooms

Bedroom 3 and Bedroom 4 sit side by side. A wardrobe or desk against the shared wall softens the noise each way.

  4. Comparing with a listing

Flat listings often quote internal area; this plan measures to wall centre lines, so a redrawn listing can come out slightly larger.

Frequently asked questions

How big is this 4-bedroom apartment?

133.9 m² (1,441 sq ft) of rooms including the hallway, measured to wall centre lines. It matches the 3-bedroom plan, which keeps the same outline.

Where do I dine without a dining room?

The dining table stands in the kitchen with two chairs. Size it for the number you usually cook for, or move a larger table into the living room and check the walkways.

Can I see the flat in 3D?

Yes. The 3D view shows the full floor, and the template page lists the furniture in every room.

Can I add a fifth bedroom?

Yes. Draw a wall across part of the living room, add a door and rename the new space; its area joins the total in the area schedule.
