Privacy Policy

There are no user accounts, so we do not ask for or hold your name, email address or password. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send, and use it only to reply.

Floor plans are saved in your browser's storage on your own device, mainly in IndexedDB. localStorage holds small preferences: the theme and language, recently used commands, the unit system chosen in the calculators, whether you have seen the editor tour, and your analytics choice. It also briefly holds a project while a tab is closing. None of this is uploaded to a server, and we cannot see it.

Because projects live only in that browser, clearing the site's data deletes them. The projects page has a "Clear local data" button that does this on purpose; download .fp3d files first to keep copies. The app is also cached by a service worker so it can open offline.

A share link contains the whole plan, compressed, after the # in the address. Browsers do not send that part of an address to the server, so opening a share link does not give us the plan. Anyone you send the link to can read it, so share it only with people you choose.

Exported files (.fp3d, images, PDFs) are created on your device and go only where you save or send them.

Fonts are loaded from this site's own servers (self-hosted). No font data is sent to third-party services.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and features are used. It runs in Google Consent Mode v2 (advanced): Google's tag loads on the content pages with analytics and ad storage denied by default. There, before you choose and after you reject, it sets no cookies and sends Google cookieless pings: the page visited (without query strings, fragments or project ids), the event name, and what any web request carries, such as your IP address and browser and device type. Google uses these pings to model visits in aggregate. The floor plan editor sends nothing to Google until you accept. Accept allows analytics cookies only; ad storage, ad personalisation and Google signals stay off. Your choice is remembered in your browser.

We record anonymous events: opening the editor, creating a wall or room, adding furniture (with the furniture type), switching to 3D, clicking export (with the format), opening or editing a template (with its name), using a calculator and following a link from a guide. We do not send the contents or measurements of your plans, project names, or anything you type to Google Analytics.

If you accept, we also use Microsoft Clarity on the content pages (the home page, guides, templates, calculators and the other pages outside the editor). Clarity records how those pages are used: clicks, scrolling and page views, shown to us as heatmaps and session replays. It masks what you type, sets its own cookies, and Microsoft processes the data under its privacy statement. Clarity never runs in the floor plan editor, so your plans, share links and project names are not recorded.

You can change your choice at any time with the analytics setting below. (Clearing this site's data in your browser would also bring the banner back, but it deletes your saved projects too, so download .fp3d backups first.)

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel processes standard request logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use these logs to identify individuals.
