Sizes and areas are measured to the center lines of the walls, the same way the editor’s area schedule measures them, so each room’s clear floor is slightly smaller.

What makes this layout work

  1. Living and sleeping separated

Ground floor 143.8 m² (1548 sq ft); first floor 110.4 m² (1188 sq ft). Daytime living stays below, the bedrooms upstairs.

  2. A bath on each floor

The downstairs baths serve the living rooms and the staircase; the upstairs bath serves the bedrooms.

  3. A stair between two floors

A straight stair on the ground floor lines up with the stair hall on the first floor.

  4. Two 3D fly-throughs

Each floor carries its own set of saved cameras; play the tour on the floor you are looking at.

Who this template suits

  1. A full family house

Ten rooms over two floors, with a bath on each level.

  2. Planning a duplex

See how the two floors line up room for room.

  3. A walkthrough brief

Export both floors and their camera tours to PDF or 3D.

Things to consider

  1. Stair size is the default

The stair is the editor's default straight stair for the floor height. Check its width and length against the rules where you build.

  2. The upstairs bath serves four rooms

The first floor has one bath for the master bedroom, bedroom 2, the living room and the hall. Add an en-suite if that matters.

  3. No separate dining room

Dining is set up inside the front living room on the ground floor, by the hall; enclose a part of that room with a wall and a door to make a dedicated dining room if the household needs one.

Make it fit your space

  1. Switch floors

Use the floors menu; the floor you are not on shows faintly underneath so the two levels stay aligned.

  2. Move the stair

Drag the straight stair; keep the stair hall above it aligned.

  3. Rework the camera tours

Edit each floor's saved cameras from the camera panel in the 3D view.
