Layout overview
The outer walls measure 14.00 × 10.00 m (45′ 11″ × 32′ 10″). Visitors enter through reception, which opens into the 10.00 × 7.00 m (32′ 10″ × 23′) open workspace through a wide opening. The meeting room and the manager's office line the far side; the break room, WC and storage are along the back.
The open workspace has three rows of four desks, each with a chair. Every desk is the library's Desk (1.40 × 0.70 m (4′ 7″ × 2′ 4″)), which counts as a seat in the Seats panel without any extra step.

Sizes and areas are measured to the center lines of the walls, the same way the editor’s area schedule measures them, so each room’s clear floor is slightly smaller.
What makes this layout work
Reception as a buffer
Visitors arrive in reception, not in the middle of the workspace.
Quiet rooms with doors
The meeting room (4.00 × 4.00 m (13′ 1″ × 13′ 1″)) and the manager's office have doors; the open workspace does not need one.
Daylight on the desks
The workspace has windows along the front wall and one on the side.
Services grouped at the back
The break room and the WC sit next to each other, which keeps the plumbing together.

Who this template suits

Things to consider
Tight space behind the chairs
Between a row's chairs and the next row of desks there is 0.80 m (2′ 7″), and 0.60 m (2′) between desks side by side. That works for sitting down; if people walk behind seated colleagues, spread the rows out.
Storage through the manager's office
The storage room's only door is in the manager's office, and it has no wall on the workspace to take another. If everyone needs access, swap it with a room that does, such as the break room.
One WC
There is one WC for 13 desks, and its door opens onto the workspace. Check the number of toilets your premises need with your local requirements.
A four-seat meeting room
The 16.0 m² (172 sq ft) meeting room has a table with four chairs. Larger meetings need a longer table or a bigger room.
Make it fit your space
Change the desk count
Duplicate a desk and its chair (Ctrl/⌘ D) or delete them one by one; to start the workspace again, clear it and fill the room with benches, pods or single desks from desk auto-fill, which previews the seats before placing them.
Check the aisles
Open the office checks to see aisles narrower than the widths you set and chair zones blocked by furniture, and use the measure tool (M) for any gap you want to confirm.
Lock the building
Lock the Architecture layer so walls stay put while you rearrange the furniture.
Frequently asked questions
How many desks does the template have?
13: 12 in the open workspace and one in the manager's office. All of them count as seats: the Seats panel lists them per room and updates as you add or remove desks.
Can I plan a larger office?
Yes. Drag the outer walls to the size of your floor, or start from a blank plan and copy rooms from this one.
How big are the rooms in the office template?
Open office: 10.00 × 7.00 m (32′ 10″ × 23′); Meeting room: 4.00 × 4.00 m (13′ 1″ × 13′ 1″); Manager office: 4.00 × 3.00 m (13′ 1″ × 9′ 10″); Reception: 4.00 × 3.00 m (13′ 1″ × 9′ 10″); Break room: 4.00 × 3.00 m (13′ 1″ × 9′ 10″).
Does the editor count seats or check spacing for me?
Yes. The Seats panel counts seats per room, floor and project, and the office checks flag narrow aisles, blocked chair zones and door clearances, and seats with no route to an exit door. The checks are advisory planning aids, not a check against the rules for your premises.
Can I hide the furniture to show only the rooms?
Yes. Hide the Furniture layer to see the walls, doors and rooms alone; hidden layers are also left out of image exports.
